All of our wooden spoons are hand carved by small groups of men in rural workshops and homes in Rwanda. They are finished with an all-natural beeswax polish from Beeutiful Creations.

About This Design
By naming each carved item after an incredible woman in her life, Macy wanted these items to be that much more special than just an everyday wooden spoon. With each stir, scoop, and scrape we hope these spoons will be a part of the memories in happy homes to come.
Macy named the measuring cup set after her grandma Ruby, an amazing curly redheaded cook and baker, who cooked by taste rather than a recipe! May each measure made with these cups add a little bit of Ruby’s cooking magic to your dishes and a whole lot of love to the meal you share at your table.Macy’s Designer Tip: “Who else has a measuring cup drawer or hidden spot behind some cabinet door where you keep your measuring cups? You will want to place your Ruby Measuring Cup Set out with cookbooks on your counter or hang them like artwork close to your prep space for function and aesthetic.”
The Handcrafted Details
- Hand-carved from Musave tree – a tree that regrows after it’s been cut.
- Available in natural wood finished with all-natural beeswax polish.
- Please note that the shape, shade, and scoop measurements may vary slightly as they are all carved by hand from different cuts of wood.
- Sizes: The set of four includes 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup, and 1/4 cup measurements.
- Care: Handwash with mild soap and warm water. Please avoid bleach and the dishwasher.
- Ethically crafted by a person in rural Rwanda.
