Wheatgrass sprouting seeds provide a quick and easy way of growing wheatgrass right on your kitchen counter. This sprout was popularized for its high nutrient content of vitamins and minerals, and ease of access. Wheatgrass sprouts are simply the first shoots of the common wheat plant, the newly sprouted shoots are often dried and powdered for quick and versatile consumption. It is not uncommon to find wheatgrass as an additive to smoothies, juices, or taken with a small amount if water in a shot glass.
Sprouting seeds should be soaked for 8-12 hours and will sprout in 6-10 days. They need to be thoroughly rinsed with cool, clean water every 8-12 hours. Refrigerate your sprouts after their final rinse.
